Emmerdale favourite feared dead as resident is rushed to hospital

There’s a dramatic week ahead for Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) in Emmerdale, as he faces a terrifying situation in prison, having been incarcerated for accidentally stabbing Samson Dingle (Sam Hall).

Samson himself is set to cause trouble among the family as he plans to go away with new friend Josh Cope (Osian Morgan), much to the horror of Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).

Can she convince a family member to help her out?

Meanwhile, Caleb Miligan and Ruby Fox-Miligan (William Ash and Beth Cordingly) disagree over son Nicky Miligan (Lewis Cope).

Elsewhere, Evan’s condition causes concern for Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley) and causes tension between her and husband Billy (Jay Kontzle), and Kim Tate and Rose Jackson (Claire King and Christine Tremarco) are forced to step up and help out.

Episode 10033

Matty is slightly more hopeful having established that Les his cell mate has accepted him as a trans man and is happy to relay this to Amy when she visits. He is delighted to hear they have a new solicitor and is left hopeful he could be out of prison soon.

As visiting time ends, Amy’s glad Matty is more positive. As she watches him go, she’s approached by Robbo, who she mistakes for Les. Unfortunately Robbo’s sympathetic front gets the truth about Matty from Amy, who is oblivious to the danger she has now put her husband in.

Matty returns to his cell as Les leaves to see his solicitor. Once he’s gone, Robbo arrives into the cramped cell, and Matty’s blood runs cold to discover this thug has spoken to his wife.

Meanwhile, upbeat Amy arrives home to tell them about Matty’s positive attitude. Matty is trapped in his cell and terrified when Robbo reveals he’s learnt the truth and the menacing transphobe closes in on him.

Moira is shocked to hear about Sarah and Josh’s ongoing courtship but seething to hear Josh and Samson’s intention to leave for their European trip sooner than before. Moira vows to stop them.

Moira bursts into the Dingles and levels her accusations about Samson leaving at Sam who defends his son’s innocence. Soon, Sam is convinced to let him leave as he promises to be back before the trial. Moira is on a mission to stop him going…

Ruby and Caleb reconcile. He wants to entice Nicky back but Ruby insists they need to let their son go.

Evan spits up his medication under Billy’s care resulting in Dawn losing trust in him.

In hospital, Laurel is troubled the decision to separate hasn’t sunk in for Jai.

Nate invites Billy for beers, and drunk Billy returns home, aided by Nate. Kim helps Nate cover his whereabouts and state he is in.

Ruby secretly meets Rose, Rose tries to pull away from their deal as there has been enough family drama but Ruby is resolute she wants to take down her enemy.

Kim covers for Billy’s absence. Dawn is worried about Evan’s cough and he is rushed to hospital. Billy feels guilty, but Kim takes the blame.

Before long Rose saves the day when Dawn forgets Clemmie’s birthday, successfully pulling off a spontaneous birthday party, leaving Dawn and Will grateful but Kim excluded and uninvited.

Manpreet tries to check up on how Charles is doing.  It’s awkward between them until she mentions she has missed him… Will that change things?

Gail seizes an idea to reconcile Rhona and Mandy and soon orchestrates a get together – but will it work?

Lydia may be beginning to suspect Samson may be lying when she observes Josh threatening Samson, putting pressure on him to continue lying to the police. Moira and Lydia meet and Moira implores her to help. But will she?

Rose outshines Kim at Home Farm by jumping in and saving the day when stressed Dawn forgets Clemmie’s birthday. Rose successfully pulls off a spontaneous birthday party, leaving Dawn and Will grateful but Kim exclude and un-invited.
